ECDL training module 7 - Information and Communication

ECDL module 7 introduces the impact the computer has had on communication. In particular it covers the internet and e-mails , what they are and how to use them.

At the end of module 7 a candidate is expected to understand:

What is the internet and what it is used for.
How to search, find and use web sites on the internet.
What is email.
How to create and send email.
How to receive and organise email.

The course covers:

Getting started with the internet.
Web navigation.
Using search engines.
Bookmarks.
Email basics.
Setting up address lists.
Organising messages.

Course duration 1 day or 5 sessions of 1.5hrs.

We are able to offer this course during normal working hours or outside normal working hours.

Course prerequisites:

The course does not require the delegate to have any previous knowledge of personal computers.
