ECDL training module 7 - Information and Communication

ECDL module 7 introduces the impact the computer has had on communication. In particular it covers the internet and e-mails , what they are and how to use them.

At the end of module 7 a candidate is expected to understand:

  • What is the internet and what it is used for.
  • How to search, find and use web sites on the internet.
  • What is email.
  • How to create and send email.
  • How to receive and organise email.

The course covers:

  • Getting started with the internet.
  • Web navigation.
  • Using search engines.
  • Bookmarks.
  • Email basics.
  • Setting up address lists.
  • Organising messages.

Course duration 1 day or 5 sessions of 1.5hrs.

We are able to offer this course during normal working hours or outside normal working hours. 

Course prerequisites:

The course does not require the delegate to have any previous knowledge of personal computers.
