ECDL training module 5 - Databases ECDL module 5 introduces databases, what they are, where they are used, how to create a data model. Constructing tables and forms and querying and reporting existing databases. This is a longer module than all the others. At the end of module 5 a candidate is expected to understand: - The basic concepts of databases, why and when they are used.
- How to plan and construct a relational database.
- How to retrieve data from a database using queries.
- How to produce reports.
- How to use Microsoft® Access database
The course covers: - The basics of databases.
- How to create database tables.
- Using forms.
- Writing queries
- Retrieving information
- Producing reports
Course duration 2 days or10 sessions of 1.5hrs. We are able to offer this course during normal working hours or outside normal working hours. Course prerequisites: The course does not require the delegate to have any previous knowledge of personal computers. |
