ECDL training module 2 - Using computers and managing files ECDL module 2 introduces the personal computer (PC) how it works and how to use Microsoft® Windows to perform basic computer operations. At the end of module 2 a candidate is expected to understand: - The basic functions of a personal computer PC.
- Computer operating systems.
- How to work within the desktop environment.
- How to manage and organise files, directories and folders.
- How to move, copy delete and rename files directories and folders.
- An understanding of windows and desktop icons.
- How to search for files.
- How to perform simple editing.
- How to manage the printer and print documents.
The course covers: - Getting started with PC's.
- The computer desktop.
- Windows.
- Organising files.
- Searching for files.
- Editing.
- Printing and Print Management.
Course duration 1 day or 5 sessions of 1.5hrs. We are able to offer this course during normal working hours or outside normal working hours. Course prerequisites: The course does not require the delegate to have any previous knowledge of personal computers. |
